Rainwater, Holt, & Sexton is now accepting applications for a Legal Assistant in the Little Rock office. 


Job Purpose and Scope:

Responsible for assisting the day-to-day legal casework for the firm in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Essential Job Functions: 

     Data entry

     Scanning and attaching documents electronically

     Daily interaction with clients

     Daily interaction with insurance companies

     Daily interaction with attorneys and other professionals

     Maintaining tasks and responsibilities within a caseload

     Must be able to work in a team environment.

     Organizes priorities and structures work flow.

     Maintain minimum level of cases and client contact.      

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  1. Ability to work without close supervision
  2. Ability to provide excellent customer service
  3. Excellent communication skills
  4. Work well under pressure and with deadlines
  5. Ability to adapt well to change and adjust appropriately
  6. Responds promptly to client needs
  7. Maintains confidentiality
  8. Demonstrate accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail
  9. Knowledge of law firm policies and procedures
  10. Exhibit sound and accurate judgment
  11. Manage competing demands

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Minimum 1 - 3 years legal experience
  2. Minimum 1 - 3 years customer service experience
  3. Excellent computer skills / Typing skills
  4. Knowledge of processes and procedures relating to injury law; ex: prepare demand/brochure, medical record review.
