    Responsibilities and Qualifications

    Overview:

    Responsible for the evaluation, planning, directing and administering of occupational therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician. Administers treatments and occupational agents as prescribed by a referring physician in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability. Assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. Completes other duties as assigned. Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

    Qualifications:

    Because you’re committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That’s why you’ll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:

      • Education: Graduate of accredited Occupational Therapy program

      • Licensure: Licensed in state of Arkansas as an Occupational Therapist

      • Certifications: Basic Life Support certification

    • Other: Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Strong written and verbal skills. Basic computer skills. Knowledge of physical medicine, physical therapy modalities, anatomy & physiology.
