Metallurgist sought by Nucor Steel Arkansas - Blytheville, AR location. Candidate must have a Bach's or foreign equiv deg in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Metallurgical Engg or rltd field & 3 yrs of exp in steel making, focused on cold rolling & annealing processes. Exp must incl: Dvlpg & maintaining process flowcharts, Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (FMEA), & control plans for steel mfg operations. Analysis, interpretation, & compliance w/ int'l standards: American Society for Testing & Materials (ASTM), European Norm (EN), Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), German Institute for Standardization (DIN), & Int'l Automotive Task Force (IATF). Providing Tech'l Support to Sales, Scheduling, Quality & Customers applying expertise in steel grades, processing capabilities, & product specs. Product routing, raw material selection & process parameters definition for coated & uncoated products. Managing material disposition rltd to surface defects, weight & coating variations, mechanical property deviations, & customer referrals.
