    Oswald is a seven by two combined cycle plant. Utilizing 6 GE LM6000 aero-derivative gas turbines, one GE 7EA gas turbine, and two GE steam turbines, it is capable of 548-Megawatts. Oswald is located near the town of Wrightsville, just outside of Little Rock Arkansas.

    A Maintenance Technician carries out a planned program of maintenance for power plants to ensure the continuous, smooth operation of the plant in normal, abnormal or emergency situations. We’re looking for someone who can maintain a high degree of situational awareness to meet continually changing conditions with a fresh and adaptable approach. In this position, you will be given the opportunity to work alongside peers who are versatile, enthusiastic, and continuing to strive to push AECC and our mission forward.


    • Performs minor and major mechanical maintenance on all plant equipment, including but not limited to combustion turbines, hydroelectric turbines, steam turbines, steam boilers, heat recovery steam generators, pumps, motors, fans, compressors, valves, hydraulic systems, and cranes.
    • Performs preventative maintenance on all plant equipment in accordance with schedules to ensure reliable equipment operation; also performs maintenance tasks in area of specialized skills.
    • Travels to remotely located hydroelectric and combustion turbine plants and performs mechanical maintenance work.
    • Maintains familiarity with safety policies, and observes and practices all safety precautions.
    • Operates forklift or similar machinery, as necessary, to unload delivery trucks, install/remove equipment, and for general material handling.
    • Checks for fire and safety hazards as well as any other matters important to the maintenance of the plant as they arise.
    • Participates in training program and continually seeks to improve skills required for general maintenance including pipe fitting, millwright, machinist, welding, etc.
    • Executes the duties of the Maintenance Supervisor during absence as directed.
    • The ability to handle stress and work well with others are essential functions of this position.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • In pursuant of the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Act 593, this position is a designated safety-sensitive position according to AECC/AECI standards and processes.
    • EEI Position Testing will be conducted as part of the selection process
    • As a condition of employment, this position requires a post – offer, pre-employment Fitness for Duty Exam
    • High school Diploma or equivalent, plus 5 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Ability to operate commercial motor vehicles under 26,000 pounds
