    As an integral part of Aerojet Rocketdyne's national Talent Acquisition organization, the successful individual will identify and implement recuitment strategies and activities to to attract and hire top talent for the full spectrum of Aerojet Rocketdyne job openings inluding both exempt and non-exempt positions. This position will be located at our growing Camden, Arkansas facility.

    The Senior Recruiter will be expected to perform under limited general direction and provide a high level of expertise and professional acumen in the conduct of the role.

    This position may be filled at this level as posted or one level higher.

    Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

    75% - Sources, identifies, interviews, and recommends prospective employees for employment for exempt and non-exempt professional, technical and manufacturing positions. Composes and extends employment offers to successful candidates. Establishes, evaluates, and employs varied sourcing techniques to develop an appropriate pipeline of candidates. Communicates and manages the interview process with designated managers. Monitors quality of candidates and adequacy of sourcing efforts; anticipates and proactively addresses potential problems with recruitment efforts.

    20% - Utilizes appropriate tools (ATS - iCIMS, Oracle Core HR, etc.) to effect applicant and requisition processing, offer development, and applicant/requisition close out.

    5% - Participates in activities and initiatives to enhance the Company's talent acquisition program, including staffing forecasting, retention initiatives, etc. Applies expertise toward recommending process improvement of the overall staffing strategy, focusing on quality, cost effectiveness and timeliness of fulfilling staffing needs.

    SECONDARY FUNCTIONS: May plan, conduct, and coordinate projects or major phases of significant project assignments, coordinating the efforts of support staff in the performance of assigned activities.

    Requirements

    Requires a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline and six (6) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires a solid knowledge of interviewing and hiring practices and the demonstrated ability to recruit for a broad spectrum of positions, including engineering, manufacturing operations, quality assurance, supply chain positions. Knowledge of sourcing strategies, required. Experience with ATS required (experience with iCIMS, strongly preferred).

    Ability to work independently, excellent communication skills, ability to effectively schedule and prioritize work flow, and the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships also required. Staffing experience in a corporate environment, as well as prior experience recruiting technical (engineering, manufacturing and touch labor) for aerospace/defense organizations strongly preferred.

    US Citizenship required. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

    Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

    Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 15 pounds; may require minimal walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat.
