Summary Manufacture/apply finish s on aftermarket spars
Essential Functions and Responsibilities

All Grades

1. Know and understand company and departmental policies and procedures

2. Acquire and maintain proper hand tools necessary to complete work assigned

3. Process manufacturing planning and authorizes by their signature and date after work is completed.

4. Familiarize him/her with contents and procedures described in the Repair Station and Quality Control Manuals

5. Notify the Director of Quality Assurance of suspected un-airworthy conditions found during the performance of his/her duties

6. Assure parts received from stock are properly identified

7. In the case of shelf life material, assure they are not expired. If material is outdated, assure outdated materials are presented to his/her production lead and/or inspector for identification as nonconforming and proper disposition

8. Accomplish his/her work in accordance with proper aircraft standards, manufacturer s approved data, and/or FAA approved/accepted data

9. Other various duties as necessary or assigned

Grade 33 (Assoc)

1. All of above, and

2. Trim, paint, assemble and perform tests

3. Work in conjunction with higher grade mechanics to further their job knowledge base through OJT

Grade 34 (Sr)

1. All of above; and

2. Read and understand blueprints and technical manuals

3. Accomplish basic manufacturing with normal supervision

3. Have a basic understanding of computer processes involved in daily

Operations

Grade 35 (Spec)

1. All of above; and

2. Have a broad knowledge of BAC & BMS specs

3. Accomplish manufacturing with minimal supervision

4. Be able to troubleshoot assemblies

5. Administer training on basic processes/procedures and be able to organize work groups

6. Work closely with engineering in developing manufacturing

Grade 36 (Sr Spec)

1. All of above; and

2. Have a comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of operating procedures and processes.

3. Schedule and assign personnel to optimize production.

4. Coordinate with support groups within the organization (Customer Service, Engineering, Procurement, etc.) to ensure product flow.

5. Administer training as required on any and all production topics as needed.

5 Input and update data as required in ERP systems and maintain work order files in office systems.

6 Communicate with upper management as necessary to provide all applicable status of components currently in work.

Education and/or Experience High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate); none

Language Skills Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Mathematical Skills Technical knowledge and ability to perform all tasks in assigned department.

Skills and Abilities:

Q Use of basic hand tools and a good understanding of basic mechanics.

Q With assistance of verbal or physical instruction set up and operate of metal fabricating tools such as: saws, brakes, shears, presses, grinders, rollers, shrinkers/stretchers.

Q With assistance of verbal or physical instruction disassembly and cleaning, fabrication of simple repairs and the subsequent assembly of various components.

Q Demonstrate a basic understanding of the proper usage of Current Manufacturer s Maintenance Manual or Instructions for Continued Airworthiness.

Q Must be able to understand, read and write English.

Q Recite back instruction of their assigned duties.

The schedule of work hours are dictated by work load, production flow, and customer services needs.

Work hours may include additional hours beyond a normally scheduled work week.
