Organization: Application Outsourcing
Location: Bentonville, Arkansas
People within Application Outsourcing are responsible for the day-to-day provision of long-term outsourcing services to one or several clients. As part of our Application Outsourcing team, you could be helping to provide the programming, management and maintenance services needed to implement and support installations of both custom and packaged application software

The Software Developer designs and develops software systems to meet with market and/or client requirements. The Software Developer may be involved on projects end-to-end from analysis, design, implementation, quality assurance (including testing), to delivery and maintenance of the software product or system or only for a specific phase of the lifecycle. The Software Developer has a range of skills and knowledge of the technologies used, internal and externally-based methodologies, standards, processes and tools, as well as applications/products supported by the entity he/she supports.
Key Responsibilities:
Individuals may be responsible for all or a subset of the activities listed below based on his/her specific position in the organization.
Design, Development and Support:
Work with key team members to gather and interpret user/system requirements into technical design specifications and test plans. May develop system specifications and interfaces for complex components
Analyze, design, code, and, as required, test/fix software, systems, or integration adapters
Develop existing programs by analyzing and identifying areas for improvement
Investigate new technologies
Work with integration vendors as needed
Create technical and functional/end-user operational documentation for the software or system
Provide application/technical support as needed
Provide primary support toward installation of application releases into production as directed
Process Execution and Improvement
Problem-solve to meet the needs of the project
Consult clients/colleagues concerning the maintenance and performance of software systems to obtain information, clarify details and implement information
Provide input in determining level of effort
Review and understand work plan
Meet milestones and related effort/time commitments for assigned deliverables and provide work status, including estimated-time-to-complete (ETC) and actuals
Coordinate and participate in structured peer reviews/walkthroughs
Plan and execute all required process steps as defined in our methodologies
Coordinate work with other technology professionals supporting the software asset or system, as well as with other staff, such as project managers, graphic artists, and sales and marketing professionals
Anticipate, identify, track and resolve issues and risks affecting the software or system
Maintaining and/or updating technical and/or industry knowledge and skills through continuous learning activities, such as reading journals/magazines, collaborating with other technical professionals, learning from on-the-job experiences, participating in technical training, and/or writing articles
Software Delivery Project Support
Take part in and/or conduct customer workshops to obtain customization requirements
Design, Code and, as required, test customer specific enhancements and customization of software assets in a service project
May define and meet milestones, provide technical project management, and collect customer feedback in small software asset installation projects
Role is in Bentonville Arkansas (so would require relocation). Travel may be required to Delivery Center locations at times but primarily in Bentonville.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
5 years of Technology development experience (ie. Java, C, .net)
Preferred Skills:
4 year degree in IT, Business or Technical Discipline preferred
