Summary of Duties & Minimum Qualifications:

Grade: C112

This position will work under the supervision of the maintenance supervisor and will be responsible for the maintenance of the state park grounds, facilities, and equipment. Job duties include making minor repairs to the park s facilities, maintaining equipment, doing basic plumbing, carpentry, welding, electrical and mechanical work, and performing landscaping tasks such as mowing and weed trimming. The Maintenance Specialist also maintains park vehicles, maintains a wide variety of small engines, ground maintenance equipment and hand tools, performs heavy maintenance on 35 miles of trails, cleans park facilities as needed, and other duties as assigned. Applicant must be able to work a varied shift, including weekends and holidays, be able to traverse rough terrain, and must possess a valid driver s license. A driver s record check will be performed.

Applicants must meet or exceed the following qualifications: the formal education equivalent of a high school diploma; plus one year of experience or training in the building construction trades, general building maintenance, or in the repair or maintenance of mechanical equipment.
