Position Summary:
The primary purpose of the CBM position is to drive long and short term category growth across Trial and Travel, Q-tips, Walmart.com, and Front End businesses.
Position Responsibilities:
Reports directly to the Customer Development Director, the CBM will be responsible for driving accelerated - and profitable sales volume growth by:
Being the primary category expert with Wal-Mart on selected Categories.
Developing, and managing, Category Manager and Top-to-Top relationships.
Championing, and driving, Unilever and Wal-Mart Team strategic initiatives.
Developing, and implementing, all Annual Planning efforts:
- drive, and coordinate w/CMM, all key Category Management initiatives.
- expand Core Item distribution.
- drive successful New Item introductions.
- drive trade investment effectiveness and efficiency.
- drive forecast accuracy.
- Drive category expertise on CPFR.
- drive penetration of more in-depth retail activation program.
- drive successful Co-Marketing program planning and execution.
Additionally, the CBM will be responsible for:
Trade Marketing spend compliance
The routine and timely resolution of all Open Valid and Invalid deductions.
Challenges:
The ability to effectively influence Wal-Mart in their assortment, pricing and merchandising decisions.
The ability to effectively work with other Unilever divisions.
To quickly become an expert on the culture of Wal-Mart our #1 strategic customer.
Scope:
Volume and spend responsibility for selected Unilever categories at Wal-Mart.
Skills & Competencies:
-Bachelor's Degree Required
-Minimum 3 years Sales experience.
-Must have Familiarity with Customer/Trade Marketing processes and Category Management principles. Multi-Market,Headquarter and Account management experience a must.
-Leadership & execution, Customer Plan Creation & Implementation,Annual Planning & Analytical Skills.
-Must have the ability to set clear objectives, identify priorities, provide direction and coordinate solution related activities.
-Must be highly analytical and creative, plus have the proven ability to effectively address complex business situations by:
thoroughly evaluating alternative courses of action.
providing fact based solutions/recommendations.
-Must be skilled in verbal and written communications.
-Must be able to effectively relate with multiple levels of management, both internally and externally.
-Should possess strong leadership qualities.
-Should be able to work effectively, and in a highly collaborative manner, with all Trade Marketing, Customer Marketing and Supply Chain personnel.
-Candidate must have a high level of energy & enthusiasm, plus a passion for growth.
-Candidate should excel technically, to include superior knowledge and application of standard
software packages such as PowerPoint and Excel. Knowledge of AOS and AMPS is a strong plus.
-Candidate must be able to travel and must relocate to the Rogers, Arkansas office area.
